I painted this earlier this year (with a companion piece), but I never got around to uploading it. It was supposed to be a series, but things got so busy. I'd love to continue working on them.

A little behind the painting:

I've always loved lighthouses and the ocean in general. One day, I found this:



Which is fabulous and inspiring and amazing.

And I found this right after:

[link] (A video on lighthouses engulfed by waves.)

The thought of the waves crashing down around the lighthouse was terrifying to me, and a painting was born.

I think these would look lovely as small magnets which you can put on your fridge or magnetic wall. :) This are sort of motivating - lighthouses!
