I painted this earlier this year (with a companion piece), but I never got around to uploading it. It was supposed to be a series, but things got so busy. I'd love to continue working on them.

A little behind the painting:

I've always loved lighthouses and the ocean in general. One day, I found this:

Which is fabulous and inspiring and amazing.

And I found this right after:

The thought of the waves crashing down around the lighthouse was terrifying to me, and a painting was born.

Digging that ocean spray! Great thing is, with the companion piece it can be viewed as an abstract as well due to the way you painted it. I like that- chameleon painting!
